What's New?
the painterA new silent short film, in which an aging artist confronts his past trauma as he paints the beach house he grew up in. As he paints, his memories become visions, to the point where he directly interacts with his past in pursuit of self-confrontation and healing. This one holds a special place for me, both because of how deeply personal the story is, as well as because with the help of DP Kat Holm, I consider it some of the most beautiful footage I've ever shot. The film is currently making its festival run with selections and award nominations from several thus far. You can learn more here!

The Harrow: Found FootageThis quasi-viral sensation is recovered footage from a missing hiker's 8mm video camera in 2003, documenting his haunting fate during a solo trip through the Bridgewater Triangle, a paranormal hotspot of seemingly endless forests and rivers in a remote part of Massachusetts. I was bit by the lo-fi analog horror bug currently taking the internet by storm, and given that I currently live in one of the most (allegedly) haunted places in the US, I wanted to try something out for myself! This short was shot entirely on Hi8 analog tape, presenting its own fun twist on the typical film production that I'm used to. Click here to see for yourself!

Lunar DarkMy return to my beloved sci-fi got its inspiration from an online short film competition with a music production company of the same name, Lunar Dark Sounds. To promote their work, they put out a compeition to make a 60-second short with their song "Indio". I heard the synthwave track and immediately knew I had to put something together. For what was effectively a two week sprint to hit their deadline, I was pleased with our results, and got to try my hand at many things I'd been itching to give a shot, incuding miniatures, compositing, spacesuit design, and other practical effect awesomeness. The short is available to watch now!
