Lights Over Lakeville: Found FootageThe newest addition to my Project Bridgewater analog horror series, Lights Over Lakeville follows a routine police response turned extraterrestrial encounter. Like its predecessor, The Harrow, we used authentic equipment to capture our footage amd relied heavily on practical effects, but this time around experimented with lighting techniques and long takes. the painterA silent short film in which an aging artist confronts his past trauma as he paints the beach house he grew up in. As he paints, his memories become visions, to the point where he directly interacts with his past in pursuit of self-confrontation and healing. This one holds a special place for me, both because of how deeply personal the story is, as well as because I consider it some of the most beautiful footage I've ever shot. The film won awards at several festivals and is now available online here!

Lunar DarkMy return to my beloved sci-fi got its inspiration from an online short film competition with a music production company of the same name, Lunar Dark Sounds. To promote their work, they put out a compeition to make a 60-second short with their song "Indio". I heard the synthwave track and immediately knew I had to put something together. For what was effectively a two week sprint to hit their deadline, I was pleased with our results, and got to try my hand at many things I'd been itching to give a shot, incuding miniatures, compositing, spacesuit design, and other practical effect awesomeness. The short is available to watch now!
